Chinese Contemporary is dedicated to promoting Contemporary Chinese art, by artists living and working in mainland China.
It opened it's first gallery in London (Mayfair) in 1996. and then Beijing (798) and New York (Chelsea).
Along its 13 years of existense it produced over 150 exhibitions.
The gallery was the first to give solo shows to many artists, like Yue Minjun, Wang Qingsong, Yan Shaobin and many others.It also organised the first Zhang Xiaogang solo shows in a major European public museum.It participated in the top international art fairs and published over 20 catalogues.
As of summer 2009 all the galleries are closed, Julia Colman and Ludovic Bois will remain active and influential both as dealers and consultants.
